Weaving the Future with Recycled Materials and Natural Fibers
G-TEX’s research in sustainability continues. Our commitment to a more conscious future translates into new textile collections that blend aesthetics, innovation, and respect for the environment. We are excited to announce major developments that will be officially presented at the next Proposte fair in Cernobbio.
Recycled Fibers, Zero Waste, Authentic Beauty
On our journey, we are expanding the use of 100% recycled yarns, combining them with mineral and vegetable dyeing techniques to reduce environmental impact from the coloring stage. But we’re not stopping there.
🌿 The corn yarn, already present in our collections, will now be joined by 100% recycled cotton chenille, used to create new designs made entirely from natural plant fibers and fully recycled materials.
Three New Visions of Wool
In the wool world, we are working on three distinct projects, each representing a sustainable vision:
- 100% post-consumer recycled wool, available in a rich color range.
- “Undyed” wool: we use only the natural colors of the fiber, mixing alpaca, mohair, yak, and other noble fibers, completely eliminating dyeing and finishing treatments. A simple step that allows for significant savings in water, energy, and CO₂.
- A collection made exclusively from “black wool”, also known as “black sheep,” celebrating the beauty of natural, uneven, and untreated tones.
A Promise Renewed
Every decision made comes from a vision: one of textiles in harmony with the environment, where beauty is also measured by transparency in production processes and respect for resources. Our next collection is a concrete testament to this vision.
